It is important that students know what they must take in order to graduate:

bullet

4 credits in English

bullet

3 credits in Mathematics (including Algebra and Geometry)

bullet

3 credits in Social Studies (U.S. History, Government, World History)

bullet

3 credits in Science (including Biology)

bullet

1 credit in Fine Arts

bullet

1 credit in Tech Education

bullet

1/2 credit in Physical Education

bullet

1/2 credit in Health Education

Complete a state approved pathway to graduation which includes:

2 Foreign Language credits

OR

2 Advance Technology credits

OR

Complete of a state approved career and technology program such as Career Cooperative Education (work study)

AND

Take High School Assessments in English 10, Algebra 1, Biology, Government  (Starting with the class of 2009 students must achieve minimum scores on all HSA test and a composite passing score)

AND

Complete 36 hours of direct student service

On this website, courses that satisfy the fine art graduation requirement are identified by an asterisk (*). Those courses that satisfy the graduation requirement for technology education will be followed by an addition symbol (+). Courses followed by an equal sign (=) can be applied to satisfying the advanced technology graduation requirement. These same symbols are used on the registration forms that the students will receive.

Some courses may not be taught next year if student enrollment is insufficient to justify a class. It is imperative that students choose alternate electives wisely in case a class is cancelled or conflicts with another class that the student has selected.

It is important to gather as much information as you need to make wise choices on your registration form.

Consider the choices you make and alternatives you provide as final.

Promotion Policy

To be promoted to the 10th grade, a student must earn 5 credits including:

To be promoted to the 12th grade, a student must earn 14 credits including:
