United Nations Cyber School Bus:  Gives information on global trends, nation's vital statistics and in depth details, city profiles, population information, and an introduction to the UN 

Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia:   Has more than 17,000 cross-linked articles from the 3rd edition

National Women's History Project:  Recognizes and celebrates the diverse and historic accomplishments of women

United States National Archives:  Provides access to essential evidence that documents the rights of citizens, the actions of federal officials and the national experience.

The Library of Congress:  Established to provide the U.S. Congress with ready information needed to make decisions regarding national interests. Visit American Memory for primary materials.

Washington Post Newspaper:  Access to articles published during the past two weeks

CNN News and Information Network: Up-to-date information on world and national news

Time Magazine:  Provides opinion articles on 20th century historic events and people

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum: Documents this event through primary and secondary sources

Smithsonian Institution:  Includes numerous research facilities providing online collections.

National Geographic:  Takes you into the pages of this venerable magazine

The History Net:  Offers a wide range of research topics including interviews, eyewitness accounts and personality profiles.

Merrian Webster Language Center:  Gives a fast way to look up words in either a dictionary or thesaurus format

New York Times:  Considered the ultimate source for news and opinions on both national and international events

Biography.com:  Provides short articles on people prominent in world history
