Alphabet Sampler

ALPHABET SAMPLER PROJECT
Objective: To create an alphabet “sampler”, with 36 individual cels around a theme, from A-Z.
(Theme examples: Fruits, flowers, famous books, herbs, famous faces, the Ocean, a country, or an idea of your own choosing... See limitations below!) Example: A is for apple; B is for banana; C is for coconut, etc.)

Size: Each cel= 3x3” or 3x4” (scale to fit as necessary for final presentation within an 18x24” page).
Application: Photoshop
Color: Yes, RGB

Requirments:
* All cels should have coordinated background/backgrounds (not black, or any solid dark color!)
* All cels should have a stroke of 5-10 points around the outside, or some type of decorative border.
* All cels should stand alone as tiny, individual paintings that illustrate one letter of the alphabet, and your subject.
* All cels should have coordinated subject matter!
* All cels should have the alphabet letter prominently within the cel
*All cels should have “A is for ________” along the bottom.
* After the cels are complete, combine them into an 18x24” file, leaving a small amount of space between each.
* Leave room at the bottom or top for a decorative title for your alphabet
* Must be ORIGINAL! Remember that this is a DESIGN project!

Limitations:
1. No photos should show in the final artwork, although they can be used for tracing, if necessary.
2. Do not use copyrighted material of any kind.
3. Do not use logos, insignias or labels that are copyrighted (example: The Redskins, or the Redskins logo; Nike, or the Nike logo.)

Think about how this will all be arranged in the end.
