Greetings, Parents!
Welcome to the page where you will find
information about what's happening in
Computer Graphics!

I know that we both have a common goal: the success of your
student in this class. I hope that this web page will help you
to become aware of what's happening in class...and in that way,
help you to help your student!

My primary philosophy is simple: I firmly believe that EVERY student is capable of earning an "A" in this class, regardless of background or ability. My personal goal is to ensure that every student has an enjoyable and productive experience in Computer Graphics. That's it. It doesn't depend on "talent" or ability.
But there is a secret!

While official assignments and due dates will be posted on the student pages of the web site, I will also be posting reminders and other important information that will help you to help your student! Weekly pictures and videos of classroom
activities will also be occasionally posted, so that you can
picture what's happening in school!

In addition, I am putting together an email list that will go out to all interested parents, with the same sort of information on a weekly basis. Please click on the email link below, simply write "Join the list", and I will add you to the list for automatic updates! lindac@pgcps.org

I would encourage you to spend a few minutes looking over the Class Info link. This will help introduce you to the requirements for the class, as well as classroom rules and expectations. I know I can count on you're support, as you can count on me to encourage and enable your student toward success! I look forward to teaching your student this year!

As always, I am here for questions or concerns. Please don't hesitate to visit. The coffee pot is on and we have an extra computer somewhere for you!

Hello Parents!
Hallelujah! My phone is finally, finally fixed!

You can call me now, on 301-513-5400, x303. I'm here virtually any day until 4:00, and later, most days. Let it ring...because it's a big room (and I'm not as speedy as I used to be!)

Due to my broken arm, mygradebook will not be updated (until I can type using both hands!)

Feel free to call/email for an update!

The Secret: The secret to succeeding in Computer Graphics is this: Every lesson, every skill will be taught from the very beginning and will be sequentially structured to teach those skills necessary to accomplish the task at hand. Each following lesson will build upon those earlier skills..So, it's really all about keeping up, mastering the skills taught daily, and getting assignments in on time!

And, I must admit that I am somewhat "old school" when it comes to dates and getting things in on time. It's not that I want to be strict or inflexible...It's just the best way I know to prepare your young person for college. My experience is that you don't just "flip a switch" and turn on good work habits...they have to be ingrained daily! So the little lessons here, just might prevent a disaster later!
